Murray State’s men’s basketball coach Steve Prohm has announced the signing of Chad Culbreath of Ripley, Tennessee, Charles Brown of New Orleans, Louisiana and BrionSanchious of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
All three will be freshmen with the Racers in the fall.
“Our program needed depth in the post and at guard and we’ve done that with the addition of Chad, Charles and Brion,” said Prohm. “This trio brings a lot of athleticism and toughness to our program and we’re looking forward to getting them here this summer.”
Culbreath is a 5’10 guard and was the all-time scorer at Ripley with more than 2,600 points, including a senior season in which he scored 1,168 points averaging 27 points per game.
Brown is a 6’7 forward and comes from a St. Augustine Purple Knights program (Louisiana Class 5A) that won a combined 75 games in the last three seasons, including going 24-6 in 2014-2015. Brown was named District MVP as a senior in leading his team in scoring and rebounding.
Sanchious is 6’8 and a forward. He comes from Northeast High School (Florida Class 5A) where he was a two-sport star for the Hurricanes. In the 2014-15 season, Sanchious led the state in blocked shots while averaging 12 points and 12 rebounds per game. He was also an quarterback in football.
