Murray State Named "Veteran-Friendly" School

Victory Media's seal

Murray State University stands as one of the most veteran-friendly schools in the country, according to a national survey.

Victory Media’s "Military Friendly Ratings" placed MSU in the top 15 percent of universities that provide opportunities for service members.

In a release, Murray State President Bob Davies said he wants to offer an encouraging hand to all veterans seeking education.

“We are proud and honored to be included in this ranking. Our goal is to support our military in all their higher education needs, and it is a privilege for us to provide programs and services that enhance the experiences our veterans have with Murray State University," Davies said.

Since its inception in 2003, the survey has combined research with input from employers and universities.

Murray State has also been designated a yellow ribbon school, meaning it and the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs can provide matching funds to help get G.I.s through college.
