E.E. Cummings

Dr. Amy Aucoin directs the Concert Choir of Murray State which is giving a concert Sunday, March 2 at 3:30 PM in Lovett Auditorium featuring the works of poet E.E. Cummings. Dr. Aucoin is also calling for singers for the spring semester of Community Chorus. She speaks with Kate Lochte on Sounds Good about the upcoming performance and how one can become involved in the Community Chorus.

"The E.E. Cummings poetry has always fascinated me; I'm a big fan of poetry and, as a choral musician, we really deal with poetry as part of our job. With the music we always have to work with the poetry. And the E.E. Cummings poetry set by this composer, Jack Redford, was actually my dissertation topic, and it was quite a bit of fun."

Email or call Aucoin at aaucoin@murraystate.edu or (270) 809-6459 for more information and to schedule a voice placement audition.
