There will be an informational meeting Saturday morning on the campus of Murray State University regarding the possibility of opening a soup kitchen in Murray.
Debbie Smith is spearheading the effort and says she and others are envisioning a kitchen that is open five days a week and driven by donations only, similar to Marshall County's Marcella's Kitchen.
Anyone interested in giving their advice or input to the effort is invited to attend Saturday’s meeting at the Curris Center’s ballroom at 10 a.m. Smith said she is expecting 50-100 people.
