Murray Officials Seek Public Feedback on Future of Downtown Projects

Murray Main Street

Murray city and economic officials seek public input on the future of Downtown.

A building collapse in February and a multi-complex fire in July resulted in the demolition of a building on Main Street and several buildings on 5th and Maple Streets.

Murray Main Street Director Deana Wright says the meeting will be simply asking the public what they want to see downtown and that it’s the first step towards forming a revitalization plan for the next few years.

The public meeting starts 9 AM Thursday at the Robert O’Miller Conference Center on South 4th Street.

Rob Canning is a native of Murray, KY, a 2015 TV Production grad of Murray State. At MSU, he served as team captain of the Murray State Rowing Club. Rob's goal is to become a screenwriter, film director or producer and looks to the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie for inspiration. He appreciates good music, mainly favoring British rock n' roll, and approves of anything with Jack White's name on it. When not studying, rowing or writing, Rob enjoys spending his free time with a book or guitar.
