MSU Weekend Sports Recap

Murray, KY – In their final home game of the season, the Murray State Racer Football team beat Austin Peay Saturday 27-17. It was Seniors Day, but also the collegiate debut of 19-year old freshman quarterback Casey Brockman, who went 18 of 33 for 216 yards. Brockman was a star quarterback for Calloway County High School last year.

In other Racer Highlights, the MSU Women's Soccer team will play their first ever NCAA OVC Soccer Tournament Championship after beating Tennessee Tech 4-0 yesterday. That winning margin is the largest in OVC Soccer Championship history. The Racers will find out who they will face first in the national tournament tonight on ESPN at 7:00 pm.
