MSU Professor Goes Beyond Limits with Dr. Jacqui Lowman at Land Between the Lakes

Beyond Limits, a volunteer driven charity organization/hiking team, was created by Dr. Jacqui Lowman to prove that with teamwork, love, and persistence, nothing is impossible. This spring, Beyond Limits will be traversing the North-South trail of Land Between the Lakes. MSU professor and team member, Dr. Mike Gowen, visits the studio to talk about their upcoming adventure.

Jacqui Lowman, founder and president of BEYOND LIMITS: Awaken Your Potential has a number of congenital conditions that some might view as disabling. Thanks to the love and support Jacqui has had in her life, she was able to dedicate her life to living out her philosophy: teamwork, love, and perseverance means nothing is impossible. Last year, using a team of hikers, carriers, and trail support members, Dr. Jacqui was able to complete a hike across the Appalachian Trail.

This March, Dr. Jacqui Lowman will be visiting Kentucky's Land Between the Lakes to hike the North-South trail. Nonprofit leadership studies and recreation professor, Dr. Mike Gowen, visited Sounds Good to discuss Beyond Limits' mission and upcoming hike.
