Murray, KY – Murray State officials will soon identify a group of finalists in their search for a new Racer football coach. MSU officials have not officially released information regarding the candidates, but online source, The Examiner, has posted many names. Those under consideration include former Racer assistant coach Randall McCray, who is currently the recruiting coordinator at Wisconsin, South Carolina assistant coach Shane Beamer, and TCU assistant coach Justin Fuente, who was a record-setting quarterback for the Racers in 1998-99. MSU Athletic Director Allen Ward was unavailable to comment. He hopes to select the Racer's new head coach by December 21st.
