MSU falls to Butler in NCAA

By Todd Hatton

San Jose, CA – The Murray State Racers came close to an NCAA tournament Sweet 16 slot Saturday against the 5th-seeded Butler University, but eventually came up short in a 54-52 loss to the Bulldogs. Murray State Head Coach Billy Kennedy says Butler deserved a lot of credit for having what he called a great program. Kennedy says the Racers had way too many turnovers and didn't make their free throws. According to the San Jose Mercury News, Butler coach Brad Stevens says he's still trying to figure out how his team overcame Murray State.
