Murray State University faculty and staff will participate in training sessions next month as part of an initiative to prepare the campus for the possibility of an active shooter scenario.
Murray State Police are conducting the required training session covering techniques and methods designed to increase survivability during an active shooter situation on campus. All faculty and staff are requested to attend one of four sessions to be held at Wrather Museum.
The hour-long sessions will take place:
- Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at 8:30 a.m.
- Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 2:30 p.m.
- Monday, April 20, 2015, at 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday, April 23, 2015, at 10:30 a.m.
MSU’s student body will be provided with training sessions in the fall as well as electronic training through Canvas.
