MSU Athlete Named Among Top MLB Prospects

A Murray State University athlete has been named among the nation’s top Major League Baseball draft prospects. Perfect Game, a baseball scouting website, lists junior catcher Tyler Lawrence 140th on its college prospects list and 239th overall.

As a member of the All-Ohio Valley Conference second team, Lawrence was the only Racer to start all 56 games last season. He led the MSU squad with 62 hits and 12 home runs, and was second on the team with a .302 batting average.
