Forecasters are expecting more winter weather to roll through the area beginning tomorrow.

Meteorologist Beau Dodson says it’s hard to say where exactly the storm will hit. He says the amount of precipitation could be substantial.

“And let’s say the low shifts 50 or 100 miles northward, we’re gonna have a lot of precipitation in our area. However, the flip side of that. The low tracks a little further south and we barely get clipped. We are right on the line on this winter storm event,” Dodson said.

Dodson says we could have some light freezing rain creating an icy glaze on roadways tomorrow morning. Further on in the afternoon and into Friday morning, there is a chance of sleet, freezing rain, and eventually snow, especially along the Kentucky-Tennessee border.

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a hazardous weather outlook for most of the region and a winter storm watch for northwest Tennessee. NWS is warning of strong winds along with the precipitation.
