Fort Campbell, KY – More Fort Campbell soldiers will go to Afghanistan. Department of Defense officials announced today that 3,400 troops will deploy to the country as part of an increased troop surge President Barack Obama announced earlier this month. The Fort Campbell soldiers are part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Strike Team. Officials have previously announced deployments from four other units out of Fort Campbell.
