By Jacque Day
Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County now has the eighth lowest unemployment rate in Tennessee. The County's November unemployment numbers came in at 5.7 percent, down from 6 percent in October, according to the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Still, the County's current jobless rate is almost a full percentage point higher than November of last year, when unemployment was at 4.8 percent. The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reports, nearly 4,000 people were out of work in the Clarksville area last month, out of an estimated countywide labor force of just under 70,000. (Leaf Chronicle)
