Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has a five point lead over Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes, according to the latest and final Bluegrass Poll.

Forty-eight percent of likely voters polled say they plan to vote for McConnell, while forty-three percent say they support Grimes. Libertarian David Patterson gets three percent, and six percent of voters are still undecided.

Fromthe Courier-Journal:

While the results are within the poll's margin of error of 4.1 percentage points, McConnell's lead shows that he has the momentum in the race's waning days.

Grimes, meanwhile has gone from being 2 percentage points ahead in the poll to 5 behind.

The poll — conducted by SurveyUSA for The Courier-Journal, WHAS-11, The Lexington Herald-Leader and WKYT — surveyed 597 voters who plan to vote Tuesday.

Other public polls have shown McConnell ahead by 3 to 8 percentage points. And at an event in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, Dave Cantanese of U.S. News and World Report wrote that Grimes' pollster Mark Mellman was asked where the race stands.

"We're not ahead," Mellman replied. "But we hope to be on Election Day."

The Grimes campaign pushed back, saying its internal polling showed that the race is "dead even."

In the last Bluegrass Poll, only two weeks ago, McConnell's lead was only one percentage point.

With only a few days left before the election, both campaigns will focus on making sure their supporters turn out to vote.
