Earlington, KY – The mayor of Earlington has posted bond for a man indicted of killing a Madisonville woman. Authorities released 33-year-old John Hamilton Friday after Mayor Mike Seiber posted the twenty-thousand dollar bond. Hamilton is charged with hitting and killing 18-year-old Julie Wooten with his car in September. He also faces charges of leaving the scene of the accident and aggravated DUI. In a response to a query from the Madisonville Messenger, Mayor Seiber says Hamilton is a "lifelong friend" and the incident was a tragic accident.
