Mayfield, KY – Mayfield Mayor Arthur Byrn will announce his recommendation for police chief in Monday's city council meeting. The Paducah Sun reports this new candidate is not one of the six people the search committee previously interviewed. Although Mayor Byrn would not name the man, he says he has 20 years of law enforcement experience and ties to Mayfield and Graves County. If the council approves, the candidate would assume police chief duties August 1.
