Massac/Metropolis Soccer Deal
Metropolis, IL – Metropolis City Councilors and Massac County Unit One School Board members struck a deal last night to provide a place for high school teams to play soccer. The deal grants the school system's use of two fields being developed at the city's Sports Park for home games. In return, the school will build restrooms, concession, and storage facilities at the park and maintain the fields during the soccer season. The Paducah Sun reports the facilities will cost Massac Unit One around $50,000.
