Metropolis, IL – The Massac County, Illinois, United Way has met their fundraising goals despite a bleak outlook. City National Bank donated five thousand dollars, putting the organization over its 65-thousand dollar goal. United Way Co-President Caroline Jones says they also received donations from individuals. The organization had a deficit when they ended efforts in December. This would have been the second year of deficits without the donation from City National.
