Market House Theatre Kicks Off "A Charlie Brown Christmas" Show Run

Market House Theatre

Thursday, Market House Theatre kicks off its two-weekend run of “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” The classic animated program first aired back in 1965, and has since made itself a staple of the holidays. Theatre Executive Director Michael Cochran stopped by for a Sounds Good interview with Kate Lochte.

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" tells the tale of Charlie Brown and friends as they struggle with the real meaning of Christmas.

Cochran says he can’t wait for audiences to see what he calls a faithful stage adaptation.

The play stars both familiar faces and actors who’ve grown up in theatre.

“Watching these kids take this story and internalize the meaning of Christmas - this is the cartoon come to life," Cochran said.

Cochran says he’s also excited to see the larger-than-life scenery his team has built.

“It’s a magical kind of thing,” Cochran said.
