Murray, KY – Brookport, Illinois resident Mark Donham's song "As Long as the Stars Shine" was recently featured on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor. Last year, the same song won him a slot in the Sunday Night Songwriter's Showcase at Nashville's Bluebird Caf . Mark Welch spoke with Donham about both experiences.
Mark Donham has lived in southern Pope County Illinois for almost 30 years. In addition to writing and performing his own music, Donham is Program Director for Heartwood, a regional environmental organization, and assistant to Paducah artist Sarah Roush.
