The Christian County Board of Education has named Marie Grubbs as the new principal of Lacy Elementary School. Grubbs is currently the assistant principal at McNabb Elementary School in Paducah.
Superintendent Mary Ann Gemmill said she pleased with the council’s decision to hire Grubbs and that she will be a great asset to the district. Grubbs earned her Bachelor’s of degree in elementary education, Master’s degree and Rank 1 in Administration from Murray State and has over 20 years experience in education as a classroom teacher and as an assistant principal. She will begin her duties on August 26th.
