Maiden Alley's Oktoberfest is a Bavarian Celebration

Update: Since this interview, tonight's beer dinner has sold out and has been moved to Kirchhoff's Deli.

A beer dinner tonight kicks off Paducah's 4th Annual Oktoberfest, which benefits Maiden Alley Cinema. The Paducah Jazz Ensemble Polka Band, Legendary Shack Shakers, The Hooten Hallers, Solid Rock'it Boosters and Gideon's Rifle furnish the tunes tomorrow, along with beer and a spread of Bavarian food. Maiden Alley's Landee Bryant-Greene joins us on Sounds Good with the details.

Tomorrow's Oktoberfest starts at 11 a.m., with an after party at Shandies at 7:30.  Tickets are $32 in advance, $40 at the door. Ticket purchase includes a commemorative beer stein with fill-up, a spread of Bavarian food, access to live music and local arts vendors. Proceeds benefit Maiden Alley Cinema.

WKMS will be at Oktoberfest, stop by the booth and say hi. If you can't make it out, join us for a live broadcast from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
