Maiden Alley Cinema Crowdfunds for State-of-the-Art Sound System

maidenalleycinema.com

Maiden Alley Cinema is holding a Kickstarter campaign for a state-of-the-art sound equipment set up for their Music @ MAC series. Executive Director Landee Bryant Greene joins Kate Lochte on Sounds Good to talk about the crowd funding project, the showing of the art film "Mary" and the next performance, coming up Friday.

The live music series at Maiden Alley Cinema began about four or five years ago and the logistics in setting up the stage for these events is currently difficult. The crowdfunding campaign seeks to streamline this process with a permanent sound system to provide a better experience for patrons.

This Friday, Music @ MAC features Louisville-based band Maiden Radio (Julia Purcell, Cheyenne Mize and Joan Shelley) and Like Water, a World Fusion Duo that transcends musical boundaries. This concert will be proceeded by the showing of the short art film "Mary" by Paul Lorenz and Glenn Hall.
