Madisonville Woman Indicted for Rape, Sodomy

Princeton, KY – A Madisonville woman indicted on 32 rape and sodomy charges in Caldwell and Hopkins counties is scheduled to appear for a pretrial conference today in Caldwell County Circuit Court. 37-year-old Melanie Blackburn is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse and deviant sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old male. The alleged offenses took place in Hopkins and Caldwell counties between March and July of this year. The Princeton Times Leader reports the teen reportedly knew Blackburn from a previous relationship with her teenage daughter.
