Metropolis, IL – The Superman statue in Metropolis, Illinois won't stand alone much longer. The Metropolis Chamber of Commerce says it has plans to erect a bronze statue of Noel Neill, known for portraying Lois Lane in The Adventures of Superman television series. The statue will be just down the street from Superman on the corner of Eighth and Market Streets. Neill is expected to attend the groundbreaking ceremony, which takes place this Thursday evening at 5:30pm.
