A Line of Strong to Severe Storms Moving East Across Region This Afternoon

Severe thunderstorm warnings:

  • Todd and Muhlenberg County until 3:30. Line moving northeast at 60 mph

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for our listening area until later tonight.

A flood advisory is also in effect this afternoon. Heavy rain of 2 to 3 inches per hour expected.

KYTC reports numerous trees down in Ballard County. Several power outages have been reported. See the outage maps below for details.

A line of storms moving east may produce damaging winds between 40 to 60 miles per hour, hail and torrential rainfall greater than an inch an hour, which may also cause flooding. Stay safe and seek shelter in this storm.
Partly cloudy tonight, lows in the mid 70s. A chance of off and on showers throughout the week, otherwise sunshine wtih highs in the upper 80s.
