Hopkinsville, KY – Hopkinsville-Christian County Library is struggling to keep up amidst a struggling economy. Library Board President Margaret Macdonald says although Christian is the tenth largest county in the state, their library ranks 112th out of 116 public libraries. Macdonald says the facility has struggled with staffing needs due to a lack of funding. The League of Women Voters will host a forum tonight at the library to educate the public on the library's situation. Macdonald has invited city and county officials, but many of them are in Washington D.C. this week to lobby for regional interests.
