Let’s Talk Rock Music Saturday Nights at 8 with "Sound Opinions"

New to the WKMS Saturday night lineup is Sound Opinions – a show for people who love smart and engaging music, criticism and conversation.

Each week, hosts (and nationally respected rock critics) Greg Kot and Jim DeRogatis engage in passionate debate about the latest music news and reviews and showcase conversations and live performances from artists and bands across the musical spectrum like Sleater-Kinney, Spoon, Tweedy, Rosanne Cash, Neko Case and Kurt Vile.

Program Director Tracy Ross said:

"I think Sound Opinions is the best music program out there. Casual music fans will be drawn to the quality of their in-studio performances, and to their surprisingly thorough coverage of pop music. Music obsessives will be amazed by the elevated conversation about music as an art form. The hosts are music scholars and music geeks. One week they spend the whole program doing a song-by-song breakdown of 'London Calling,' and the next they're giving listeners the history of ska in under an hour. Truly great radio."

Beyond the Edge becomes a to two-hour two hour program and will air from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
