A state representative legislative staffers have accused of sexual harassment has resigned.
Democratic State Rep. John Arnold submitted his letter of resignation to Gov. Steve Beshear today. A special legislative committee that’s investigating the charges against the Sturgis lawmaker was scheduled to have its first meeting next week and could have recommended Arnold’s censure or expulsion from the Legislature.
Two female legislative workers alleged that Arnold had touched them inappropriately and made vulgar comments. Arnold has not publicly responded to the allegations.
