Lake Bridges Meeting
By Austin Carter
Murray, KY – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is hosting its third public meeting about designs for two new lake bridges Thursday night. The meeting is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Lake Barkley State Resort Park Conference Center. The new bridges will replace both the Eggner's Ferry and Lawrence Memorial Bridges which opened to traffic in 1932. Chief district engineer, Jim LeFevre, says the meeting will focus on funding issues and applying solutions to reduce cost. The public is invited to give verbal or written feedback at the meeting, or online at the Lake Bridges Project website, www.lakebridges.com
