Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Secretary Greg Thomas has appointed a new Chief District Engineer for the 2nd District.
Wade Clements of Hopkins County will work alongside approximately 350 employees at the Madisonville office to oversee highway projects in 11 counties including construction of a new I-69 bridge in Henderson.
Clements replaces chief engineer Kevin McClearn who retired in May.
Clements has served in various roles at KYTC for over seven years, and left KYTC in 2011 to serve with the US Navy Civil Engineering Corps and a year of active duty in West Africa in 2015.
Clements appointment is effective August 16th.
KYTC District 2 has more miles of highway and 4-lane miles than any other district in the state.
