KY Persists for Farmer Aid
By Jacque Day
Kentucky – A Kentucky legislative committee Wednesday approved a resolution asking the federal government to give financial assistance to Kentucky farmers affected by drought and wind damage resulting from Hurricane Ike. The resolution reinforces a recent request for federal relief assistance by Governor Steve Beshear and Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer.
