KY Man Arrested After Standing Off With Police Twice

Wikimedia Commons

Kentucky State Police and the Fulton County Sheriff's Office have a man in custody who twice held off officers yesterday morning. The KSP says the incident began in Fulton when a state trooper stopped 22-year-old Joshua White for a traffic violation and discovered he was wanted for failure to appear in court. When the trooper returned to the vehicle, White drove away. After a short chase, White abandoned his car at a public housing complex and ran into a duplex, firing a handgun at the trooper. White, a 19-year-old woman and the woman's two young children came out after more than two hours, but White ran back inside.  It took nearly an hour to talk him out. Charges were filed against White.  Others are pending.
