Murray, KY – Motorists are advised to slow down and allow extra travel time today. Refreezing of melted snow overnight has caused problems for highway crews by putting a light glaze of ice on many roadways that was quickly covered by light snow that has continued to fall. Falling temperatures overnight reduced the impact of ice-fighting chemicals. Driving conditions on secondary roads are not likely to improve much until temperatures rise back into the mid 20s.
