Kentucky Dam Village, KY – U.S. 62 and U.S. 641 across Kentucky Dam will remain closed through most of November.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says in a news release that the roadway will remain closed while a contractor continues work on approaches to a new bridge across the Tennessee River and Kentucky Lake on track to open next spring.
U.S. 62 and U.S. 641 travel atop Kentucky Dam to cross the Tennessee River. Traffic is being moved to the new bridge to prepare for future construction of a new lock at the east end of Kentucky Dam. Traffic detours via Interstate 24 and KY 453 between Grand Rivers and Kentucky Dam Village State Park at Gilbertsville.
