sheriff.toddcounty.ky.gov

The Kentucky State Police are investigating a home invasion and murder in Todd County in which a Mennonite man was killed and his wife seriously injured.

KSP spokesman Stu Recke says police were called to a residence south of Elkton yesterday on Old Trenton Road after relatives found Amos Yoder, 79, dead in his home with his wife Marjorie suffering from serious injuries.

Marjorie Yoder was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.  Recke says an autopsy on Amos was scheduled for this morning in Louisville.

Recke expects to release an update this afternoon that may reveal additional details. No suspects have been named in the case.
