Kentucky State University's Board of Regents have appointed an interim president.
Aaron Thompson fills the role one week after president Raymond Burse announced his resignation.
Thompson serves at the Executive Vice President of the Council on Postsecondary Education. He will take a leave of absence to lead KSU until a national search for a new president is concluded.
Thompson begins immediately.
