Kentucky State Police Post 1 is investigating a single vehicle collision that claimed the life of a Ballard County resident.
At approximately 6:15 p.m., KSP responded to the 1300 block of County Farm Road in Ballard County in reference to a single vehicle accident. Preliminary investigation has shown Steven D. Green, age 44, of Wickliffe was northbound on County Farm Road in a passenger car when the vehicle dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Green was transported to Lourdes Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A passenger, 43 year-old Edra J. Green, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ballard County Coroner.
KSP was assisted by the Ballard County Sheriff’s Office, Ballard County Fire/Rescue and Ballard County EMS.
