Kentucky Department of Education Receives High School Career Training Grant

Kentucky Department of Education

The Kentucky Department of Education has received a $100,000 grant aimed at creating a career-readiness plan for high schoolers.

Those funds come from the New Skills for Youth program, developed by JPMorgan Chase along with the Council of Chief State School Officers and Advance CTE.

The grant will cover an assessment of career-focused education in Kentucky high schools as a part of the $75 million, five-year initiative that also awarded grants to 23 states across the county.

Kentucky will be eligible to apply for a second funding opportunity as the project develops.
