The Kentucky Career Center is offering two employment workshops to help the more than 60 people laid off from the recently closed Parkway Regional Hospital.

The hospital employed 192 people and hospital officials say more than half have been transferred to other Community Health Systems facilities. The workshops will cover resume writing, interviewing techniques, networking skills, job search tips, and planning for reemployment.

The Purchase Area Development District, West Kentucky Workforce Investment Board, and Kentucky Career Center, along with representatives from the Tennessee Career Centers, will hold the first workshop at the Fulton Public Library Wednesday, April 1st, from 9 to 11 A-M. The second workshop will be held at the Mayfield Career Center Thursday, April 2nd, from 2 to 4 P-M.

PADD is also offering a special health insurance enrollment event Wednesday April 1st from 1 to 7 P-M at the Fulton Health Department open to the public.
