Kentucky Authorities ID Madisonville Man's Remains

By Associated Press

Madisonville, KY – Authorities have identified human remains found last week as that of a Madisonville father of two who has been missing since June 20. Police Chief Wade Williams told The Messenger that dental records were able to identify the remains as those of Jeremy Goodwin. Williams says foul play was involved in the man's death and the investigation is continuing. The remains were found Friday afternoon on Kentucky 2171, where Goodwin's personal belongings also were found. Goodwin was last seen leaving a sports bar with Arthur Deramo, 48, of Reno, Nev. Last year, police charged Deramo with first-degree unlawful imprisonment. A warrant previously obtained by the newspaper said Goodwin left the bar that night with Deramo and later was heard on a 911 call asking to be dropped off.
