Kentucky Arts Council Receives $746,500 Grant

Kentucky Arts Council

The Kentucky Arts Council has received a grant of nearly three-quarters of a million dollars from the National Endowment for the Arts. The council says the funding is included in the latest round of state partnership agreement grants for the 2017 fiscal year. The $746,500 award is five percent larger than last year’s grant from the NEA.

The NEA will award $70,000 to the Appalachian Artisan Center in Hindman. $20,000 to Appalshop in Whitesburg, $15,000 to the Pioneer School of Drama in Danville, $10,000 to Western Kentucky University's Kentucky Folklife program and Cumberland Gap National Park, and $10,000 to the Center for Great Neighborhoods in Covington.
