Murray, KY – Jury selection is scheduled to wrap up today for the trial of a former Fort Campbell soldier. Former Private first class Steven D. Green has pleaded not guilty to charges of raping and murdering a teenage girl in addition to killing her family. U.S. District Judge Thomas Russell will select the 18 jurors who will hear the Paducah case today. Green is being tried in civilian court because he was discharged from the 101st Airborne Division before being charged. He could face the death penalty. Opening arguments are set to begin April 27.
