Federal Judge Gregory F. Van Tatenhove has denied a motionby Libertarian U.S. Senate Libertarian candidate David Patterson which would have required Kentucky Educational Television to include him on a televised debate with U.S. Senate candidates Monday night.

Patterson’s suit requested the federal judge order KET to include him in the debate, arguing that new debate criteria sought to exclude third party candidates.

The ruling found Patterson was not excluded from Kentucky Tonight because of his political views.

Monday night Kentucky Tonightwill feature U.S. Senate candidatesSenator Mitch McConnell and Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes at 7 CDT.
