Kentucky governor-elect Matt Bevin will lead a parade of about 300 Vietnam and Korean War veterans to help celebrate his inauguration tomorrow. Bevin is an Army veteran while Lieutenant governor-elect Jenean Hampton served in the Air Force.

Hampton says the inclusion of vets is a way of thanking them for their service.

“We know that the privilege that we both have of running for office and winning allows our freedoms and that privilege was locked in by the sacrifice of veterans," Hampton said. "So we just wanted to do something on our special day to honor those who helped make those privileges possible.”

Sergeant Dakota Meyer, a Kentucky native and Medal of Honor recipient, will serve as the parade’s grand marshal.
