How to Help Oklahoma Tornado Victims

Monday, an EF-4 tornado ripped through Moore, Oklahoma leaving many homes destroyed and families searching to find their loved ones. Within hours, organizations across the nation began efforts to help the victims and provide relief to disaster responders. Here’s how you can help in your area:

  • American Red Cross -  Call 1-800-RED-CROSS to donate or give a $10 donation to the Disaster Relief Fund by texting “red cross” to 90999. Online at www.redcross.org/charitable-donations
  • Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief - Send checks to BGCO, Attn: Disaster Relief, 3800 N. May Ave., Oklahoma City, OK., 73112. Online at www.okdisasterhelp.com

    The Murray Rotary Club and Taylor Motors are collaborating to collect much-needed items for victims. The "Stuff the Bus" effort will be collecting at Pagliai's in Murray, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Items requested include cash or checks made payable to Murray Rotary Club, bottled water, clothing, work gloves and shoes, new hats, garbage bags, hand sanitizer, first aid items, sunscreen and non-melting food.
