Paducah, KY – A 2.6 million dollar housing grant means more homes for seniors in Paducah. The Housing Authority of Paducah is receiving the funds from the U-S Department of Housing and Urban Development. The money will go to build about 30 apartments for local senior citizens. Each dwelling will be handicap accessible and use green construction techniques. The Housing Authority plans to solicit architectural firms in the coming week. Construction on the apartments is set for 2010.
