Hopkinsville, KY – The 2010 Census Bureau Office in Hopkinsville opens officially next week. Local city officials and office managers will be on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday. Census office spokesman Clayton Barbour says officials are working to hire close to fifteen hundred temporary workers to oversee data collection. The Hopkinsville location will oversee census data gathering for 22 western Kentucky counties and Fort Campbell military base.
