Hopkinsville Community College has narrowed the list of names of potential candidates for a new college president.

The four finalists are Jay Allen of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Joyce Ester formerly of City Colleges of Chicago, Christopher Ezell of Danville Community College, and Juston Pate of Maysville Community and Technical College.

The candidates are scheduled for on-campus visits and interviews November 12th through 14th. The College Board and Kentucky Technical and Community College System President hope to hire HCC's next president in time to allow for a January 1st start date.

Rob Canning is a native of Murray, KY, a 2015 TV Production grad of Murray State. At MSU, he served as team captain of the Murray State Rowing Club. Rob's goal is to become a screenwriter, film director or producer and looks to the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie for inspiration. He appreciates good music, mainly favoring British rock n' roll, and approves of anything with Jack White's name on it. When not studying, rowing or writing, Rob enjoys spending his free time with a book or guitar.
